History
The studio was founded in 1986. Since that time, the studio has expanded to include a staff of six professionally trained, experienced teachers. The staff continues to perform and take classes as well as teach courses in order to provide students with updated teaching techniques and choreography. The school offers quality Ballet, Pointe (both in Vaganova technique), Partnering, Variations, Stretch/Pilates, Broadway, Jazz, Tap, and Creative Movement to children, teens and adults of all skill levels and offers guest artist master classes on a regular basis. The school provides two fully equipped studios (both with harlequin floors and one with a suspended hardwood floor) with safety cameras, a comfortable waiting room, rest room and dressing room. Our Philosophy Our goal is to help find the dancer within. We offer training for those aiming for a professional dance career or those enjoying dance as a recreation. Our school appreciates and respects both purposes and offers a secure and supportive environment. Natural and early talent is not the only key to success. The key is learning the skills through hard work, repetition and discipline. Sometimes the levels of placement to classes or roles assigned in performances do not satisfy either students or parents expectations, Abigail Francisco School of Classical Ballet is sensitive to theses issues, but aggressive attitudes will not be tolerated. Through dance, our goal is to instill a sense of self-confidence and to build self-esteem by developing poise and coordination, rhythm, flexibility, and general body toning. |
